WeightWatchers Audio and Video Conferencing Provided by ADC

ADC designed and installed full video and audio conference systems for WeightWatchers, the global leader in weight management services. The systems are installed in the company’s boardroom and meeting rooms at their head office in Maidenhead, Berkshire.

The main boardroom can be used as a single large room or divided two smaller meeting rooms, so the system was designed to provide facilities for both configurations.

The main boardroom control consists of a Crestron AV2 processor with a TPMC-8X wireless colour touch-panel. The master video conference unit is a PolyCom VSX-8000 series unit, with two pan/tilt PowerCam cameras - one camera being located in the main room and a second at the smaller end for when the rooms are divided.

Audio and telephone audio conferencing is handled by a ClearOne XAP-800 with ClockAudio mics in the main room, and a ClearOne XAP-400 with ClockAudio mics in the smaller room. Loudspeakers are Community CLOUD4, driven by Denon amplification.

The main room has an NEC NP-1150 Projector with an 8-foot drop screen and an NEC VT700 projector with a 6-foot drop screen.  The smaller room uses a 60-inch Pioneer plasma screen. Both rooms have Extron ‘pop-up’ interface panels for VGA laptop connection and an Extron 8x8 audio/VGA provides switching facilities.

When the rooms are used in combined mode, the video conferencing and audio conferencing is available to both rooms and any screen can show the VC content or laptop contents as desired.   In separate room mode, a room divider rolls into place and either room can have a video conference, or both can simultaneously have an audio conference.

A further small conference room was fitted out with a VT-700 NEC projector and a smartboard touch wall panel.  A PolyCom table top telephone system provides audio conferencing for this room.
